Chapleton station photo

Chapleton station

I was out roaming with my camera and ended up stopping at Chapleton station. It’s one of the rural stations which if you haven’t been off a mainline you may not have seen. I refer to them often as bus stop stations, normally tiny with either a bus shelter or a tiny platform. These stations are normally very well kept adorned with potted flowers and the likes. On the Barnstaple to Exeter train there are many of these little stations which you have to request a stop to get off. So why you may ask have I posted this image? For me a train station platform with a picket fence and a little garden shed is a very good representation of these small stations and I feel captures the very essence of the tiny places around us. I guess this photo you will either just get or won’t. I really liked the results in black & white, it seems I’m on a mono trend for the time being.
I hope you like it.
